New: Comfort WC and high quality drawer solution for Lb3
When they designed the Lb3 bathroom collection for Laufen, Milan architects and designers, Ludovica+Roberto Palomba focused on the real life scenarios of everyday living. This being so, bathrooms must meet the practical challenges of daily life. In its extension of the popular bathroom ensemble, the Swiss bathroom specialist resolves two very real problems in the bathroom and presents a remake-friendly Comfort WC for easy sitting and standing and new furniture with innovative, high quality drawers without a siphon cut-out.
The Swiss bathroom specialist is extending its Lb3 collection by an ultra-comfortable wall-hung WC: raised by six centimetres, the Lb3 Comfort toilets feature much improved seating comfort in comparison to conventional WCs. Moreover, as the knee is bent at an angle of around 90 degrees on the raised seat, standing and sitting is much more comfortable, and easier, too. The ceramics specialist Laufen pioneered this sector already many years ago with its successful Vienna Comfort WC, mastering the underpinning technological process with consummate skill: the WC height gain is owed to the ceramic element as the water inside must be channelled upwards without compromising flushing efficiency.
This is also why no wall connections need to be altered when installing the Comfort WC as it features remake-friendly standard securing dimensions and works with all standard flush-mounted cisterns. Sealed inner flushing rims guarantee easy cleaning by preventing grime collecting in places that are difficult to access. The anti-bacterial WC seat and cover also remove easily for cleaning – and, thanks to the soft-close mechanism, they close gently and noiselessly.
Designers Ludovica+Roberto Palomba have, of course, ensured that the stylish timeless design language of the Comfort WCs is at one with the entire Lb3 collection.
New furniture with drawers without a siphon cut-out
Bathroom specialist Laufen has also developed new vanity units with drawers, combining them with a siphon that eliminates the need for space-gobbling siphon cut-outs in the drawers. Famed for their ingenuity, the Swiss have modified the proven siphon design accordingly – securing themselves the exclusive distribution rights in the process. The new vanity units match Lb3’s “classic” and “modern” versions. Existing furniture elements, including the “design” version will, of course, remain in stock.
The exterior of the new vanity units resembles the existing vanity unit with door in its minimalist design and high quality. Like the latter, it is available in oak, wenge and white (with oak graining) real wood veneers. Instead of round door handles, however, the drawers are fitted with sturdy, easy-grip chromed handles. The spacious tall cabinets and mobile roller container in the bathroom collection can also be selected with identical handles allowing bathroom planners to achieve design consistency in the bathroom.
Laufen opts throughout for premium quality on the interiors of the new vanity units: All drawers feature sturdy metal sides and, with the integrated soft-close mechanism, always close gently and noiselessly. Laufen has also selected high quality brand name hinges for the drawers, guaranteeing a long service life. Exclusive lining on the drawer interior ensures that bathroom accessories are not displaced when the drawer is opened and closed.
The extension of the Lb3 furniture collection is rounded off by new mirrors with frames in brushed aluminium. They are optionally available with lighting to optimally illuminate the washbasin.
