Wiel Arets was born in 1955 in Heerlen and studied for his diploma at Eindhoven University of Technology in 1983. "ILBAGNOALESSI dOt" – a cooperative venture between Alessi, LAUFEN und Oras – is his first bathroom project. In creating this range Arets focused particularly on not allowing the individual objects to distract from the actual purpose of the bathroom – the cleansing of body and spirit.
